What kind of response can I expect?

When you submit a claim or a predetermination claim through TELUS eClaims, a response will be returned within a few seconds. The following list is the different kinds of responses that you can expect:

• The claim can be accepted: This will return an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that outlines how much the insurer will cover from the submitted claim;
• The claim can be rejected: This will return a Claim Rejection Notice with additional information on why the claim was rejected;
• The claim can be pending: This will return a Claim Acknowledgment response that the claim has been “Accepted for further processing”, but a final decision cannot be returned at this time;
• The claim can result in an error: This will return a description of the error and how it can be fixed.
